If you decide to become a fashion designer, be prepared to dedicate many hours of practice. You will have to learn how to adjust patterns to your figure, cut, sew and process fabrics in order to create not just stylish, but also comfortable clothes that consumers will be willing to buy.

Computer technologies are actively used in many fields of activity, and the fashion industry is no exception. Although a modern designer cannot do without the ability to capture ideas on paper and create quick sketches by hand, he will also need the skills of drawing design sketches in graphic editors. Digital sketches are easy to edit and easy to share with other team members and clients.

An aspiring designer has 3 career paths:

✓ become a freelance fashion designer,
✓ or develop your own business.

The company will most likely offer you the position of junior designer, but after a couple of years you will gain practical experience and be able to apply for a promotion. This is a good option for those who want a stable and permanent job, and can save their salary for the development of their business.

If the office is not for you, choose freelance collaboration with one or more clients. This way you can independently manage your time and income and establish yourself as a professional in the fashion environment.

The third and most difficult option is to launch your own clothing brand. Many beginning designers dream about this, but not everyone has the knowledge and money. Remember that during the first year the business, as a rule, does not bring in much income, and you will have to work 24/7. Trendy design does not guarantee success in business, so before getting started, we recommend upgrading your knowledge in entrepreneurship.
